April 15, 2020: “Commemoration and Decolonization: Remembering the Roads Untaken in Ireland’s Independence Struggle.” Dr. Heather Laird of University College Cork will give a lecture on the uses and misuses of commemorations of decolonization and independence, the subject of her recent timely book on Ireland’s ‘decade of centenaries’.
