Deputy First Minister Emma Little-Pengelly visits Prof. Gannon’s Class

On March 11, deputy First Minister of Northern Ireland Emma Little-Pengelly was invited to Professor Darragh Gannon’s Global Irish Diaspora class as part of her St. Patrick’s week visit to Washington DC. The dFM was interviewed by Niamh Dempsey – an undergraduate student in the College of Arts & Sciences – followed by a lively Q & A with the 85 students in Prof. Gannon’s class. The deputy First Minister discussed the successes of the Northern Ireland administration since the return of devolved government in February 2024 and her vision for productive transatlantic relations between Northern Ireland and the United States, moving forward.
